Connectify turns a Windows 7 device into a hotspot
Apparently, an undocumented feature in Windows 7, the software router, is the ability to turn the wi-fi functionality of your system into a hotspot.
Since Microsoft didn’t develop it further, an enterprising company called Nomadio had taken a further step, and created an end user app for it.
Called Connectify and in beta, the software aims to help Windows 7 users create ad hoc hotspots easily.
I have downloaded the beta, and I will be trying it out over the next few to see if it stands up to the promise.
The beta can be downloaded from here.
